Iconic Buildings

Skyscrapers In City Against Sky. The Empire State Building. 102-story Art Deco. Skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and completed in 1931. The building has a roof height of 1,250 feet and stands a total of 1,454 feet tall, including its antenna.

The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco–style skyscraper located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood on the East Side of Manhattan, New York City, at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue near Midtown Manhattan.

Rockefeller Center is a large complex consisting of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres between 48th Street and 51st Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Art Deco Building, Radio City Section. The Complex is also famous for its annual lighting of the Rockefeller Center.

The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York, in the United States. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French people commemorating the alliance of France and the United States during the American Revolution. Dance Parade. Over 10,000 dancers, bands, and DJs rock the city. Dance Parade and Festival in New York City is the world’s largest display of cultural diversity. Every year, on the third Saturday of May, over 10,000 dancers fill the streets of Manhattan showcasing over 100 dance styles from ballet to break-dancing. The parade usually starts on 21st & Broadway at 1 pm and passes through Union Square to a Grandstand in Astor Place. The show ends with a vibrant DanceFest that takes place on five stages in Tompkins Square Park.

Coney Island Mermaid Parade. The 36th Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade featuring Neil Gaiman as King Neptune and Amanda Palmer as Queen Mermaid. Watch as gorgeous costumes featuring everything from mermaids, robots, zombies, dresses, pets, and cartoon characters march down Coney Island's Surf.

A three years ago I ran across a website where I discover a very underrated event, the Mermaid Parade. I had no expectations as to what I was going to find, that being said, today I believe this is one of the best parades the city has to offer.

The 37th Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade was held Jun 22 in 2019.
The Parade held annually in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York, is the largest art parade in the United States. It is held each year in June, regardless of weather, to celebrate the arrival of the summer season.

Easter Parade

Every year on Easter Sunday, New York City hosts a colorful Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival along Fifth Avenue from 49th to 57th street. The ideal place to catch all the action is in the area around St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Hudson Yards is located between 10th and 12th Avenues from West 30th to West 34th Streets. The No. 7 Subway is the main conduit to and from Hudson Yards. It connects to Times Square and beyond from an eye-catching new station, located steps from the east lobby across Hudson Park.

Parks

The best park in the city

Bridges and Arches of Central Park. There are 31 arches and bridges in the Park, plus 14 bridges that carry Park traffic over the four transverse roads, allowing City traffic to cross the Park. This does not include the many rustic wood bridges found in the Park's woodlands.
